Nutrition series takes off at the new El Gabilan Library!
Learning how to stay healthy is important throughout the year, not just during flu season. The "Wise Voices, Smart Choices" 5-week lecture series teaches participants simple ways to eat healthy, from learning which foods keep the brain healthy as one ages, to removing unwanted sugar and salt from one's diet and understanding the role of healthy food choices in chronic disease prevention. Each class ends with a cooking demonstration and food sampling.
"This series is very popular," says Librarian Jissella Duarte. "We also love doing programs in the new community room at the El Gabilan Lbrary - it's a big spacious room with lots of seating for everyone!"
The series takes place Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. and will conclude thru March 31st. For more information, please call (831) 758-7020 or click here to view the next program in the series.
