A Year Like No Other, 2019-20 Annual Report
Despite the many challenges presented in our 2019/2020 fiscal year, from COVID-19 closures, to defining new safety protocols and implementing new services, we hope you'll agree that Salinas Public Library continued to serve the community in an exemplary way.
Please browse through our 2019/2020 Annual Report to see the highlights and achievements from the past year. We celebrated the reopening of the El Gabilan Library, and received several distinguished awards for its design. We had more adults use our e-resources and go online to get a virtual library card than ever before. We also raised a record amount of grant funds: $683,173 to supplement our programming and technology infrastructure.
"I am extremely proud of how library staff have faced the challenges of the past year, and their creativity in designing new programs for the public," says Kristan Lundquist, Director of Library & Community Services. "I truly believe we are emerging a stronger library system because of these challenges."
Salinas Public Library remains committed to providing the services that educate, empower and engage our Salinas community.
