Library "spooks" lots of fun with Halloween Lane
With little normal about this year's holiday, the Library & Community Services Department joined with the Salinas Fire Department to offer a unique Halloween experience that was well received by all in attendance. More than 350 cars lined up at the Salinas Sports Complex and drove through ten different booths decorated for the occasion. There were witches with poisonous brews, monsters with mock hatchets, and other frightening beasts, as well as a beautiful Day of the Dead altar.
All of the children received a treat bag at the end of the drive-thru which was provided by the Library & Community Services Department, Salinas Firefighters Association, and the Community Development Department. Over 1000 treat bags were given out!
