Playgroups are Back!
Our popular playgroups are starting once again at all three of our libraries. These parent-child, 20-week playgroups are designed to help parents learn how they can become their children's first teacher while fostering early child development skills and positive relationships. Each playgroup provides sensory play and exploratory activities that develop speech and language, creative play, cognitive development, and promote health and physical development as well as social and emotional development. Playgroups are conducted in partnership with First 5 of Monterey County.
Enrollment has ended for this session, but you are welcome to join any of our weekly storytimes. Storytime teaches children important skills through reading, singing, talking and playing together. It introduces children to new words, new worlds and new friends. Every storytime is open to all, with no registration required to attend.
Weekly Storytimes:
Learn and Play Storytime (Tuesdays): For ages 0-4. Young children enjoy books, songs and rhymes and special activities at the end.
Storytime Jamboree (Thursdays): For all ages. The entire family can enjoy stories and songs together.
Toddler Tales (Fridays): For ages 0-3. This bilingual storytime offers stories, songs, rhymes and fun for the little ones.
