Announcing the Winners of the 2021 SPL Graphic Novel Contest
Salinas Public Library is proud to announce the winners of the 2021 Graphic Novel Contest.
We had some really excellent entries which combined the elements of art, dialogue, and creativity into each novel. After some tough deliberation, we determined winners for each of the three categories (1st-4th grade, 5th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade).
Participants received backpacks with graphic novels from our summer Zoom interviews and various art supplies. Some additional goodies went to top winners like: Funko Pops, additional art supplies, and copies of Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics. Congratulations to all of the participants!
