What the Treatment Options Mean and How to Make Those Decisions

Making decisions about the healthcare of our loved ones when facing a serious illness or nearing the end of life can be challenging. Planning for healthcare in advance allows individuals to consider important issues and be aware of medical treatment options they can choose to receive or decline.

In this interactive session, Jaime Gonzalez, M.D., Salinas Valley Health, and Wendell Harry, M.D., Natividad, will explain cardiopulmonary resuscitation, comfort-focused treatments, antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and artificial nutrition/tube feeding.
