Shadow Puppets Theatre (DIY KIT) 
Create your own Shadow Puppets theatre using a cardboard box.  Have fun imagining your own stories using the cut-out designs provided in the Shadow Puppets Kit or make your own original ones. This is a FUN project that your kids will LOVE. Recommended for the entire family. Kits will be distributed on a first come, first served basis @ El Gabilan Library on Friday, October 2nd from 12pm-4pm. 

What are Shadow Puppets? 
Shadow Puppets are cut-outs that are placed between a light and a screen. This is considered the oldest form of puppetry in the world. It began thousands of years ago in China and India.  

Why Shadow Puppets? 
Shadow Puppets encourage children to use their imagination and creativity.  They can personalize their puppets by giving names or creating interesting stories. 

Materials Include:
• Cardboard box

• Flashlight

• Character cut outs (2 sets)

         Set 1: Outer space set

         Set 2: Medieval set

• 5.5 x 4.25 sheet of paper

• Masking Tape

• White butcher paper
