You don’t need yard space to have a garden! Grow bags can turn your apartment balcony, porch, or driveway into a portable edible garden. With the coaching of UC Master Gardeners, you’ll learn how to choose, plant, and nurture vegetables to maximize your harvest and enjoy the fruits of your labor. 

At the workshop, each household will get: 

• 2 grow bags and soil to fill them 
• Your choice of a tomato plant, and other vegetable plants, grown by the Master Gardeners 
• Help in getting the grow bags planted up and ready to go home 
• Info on watering, fertilizing, and care 

This bilingual workshop is offered on two different dates. Spaces are limited and registration is required. To include as many community members as possible, register for one date only. Please note: the grow bags will be heavy once planted, so plan a way to get them home safely. If you’re walking, it usually takes two people to safely carry each grow bag, by using the built-in handles.

Cultive un jardín en calquier lugar

¡No necesita una yarda para tener un jardín! Las bolsas de cultivo convierten cualquier espacio, desde un porche hasta un camino de entrada, en un jardín portátil. Con entrenamiento de UC Master Gardeners, aprenderá a plantar y cuidar vegetales para obtener una buena cosecha.

En este taller, cada hogar recibirá:

• 2 bolsas de cultivo y tierra para llenarlas
• Su elección de una planta de tomate y otras plantas de vegetales, cultivadas por UC Master Gardeners
• Ayuda plantando las bolsas de cultivo y preparandolas para irse a casa
• Información sobre regar, fertilización y cuidado.

Este taller bilingüe se ofrece en dos fechas. Espacio es limitado y solo puede registrarse para una de las fechas. Recibirá un correo electrónico para confirmar su espacio.
