Winter Reading Challenge Returns
Winter Reading Challenge
December 16 - January 11
Ages 0-18
The Winter Reading Challenge returns to the Salinas Public Library! This Winter Break read for 15 minutes a day for 15 days, and you earn a FREE book! The challenge is open to all Salinas children and teens from December 16, 2024 – January 13, 2025. This is not a competition and there is no test, so just have fun reading what you like most.
Read books that you already have at home, books you borrow from a friend, or checkout books from the library. You may also read e-books or listen to audiobooks on your device through Libby or Hoopla. The goal is to experience a book you enjoy! Not sure what to read, you can ask one of our librarians or view recommendations for books in our catalog.
Keep track of your reading via READsquared. Paper reading logs will also be available at any Salinas Public Library starting December 16, 2024.
You may start claiming your prizes as soon as December 30, 2024. To claim a prize, visit the library of your choice while supplies last. The last day to claim your prize is January 25, 2025.
