Digital Arts Lab
Salinas Public Library provides powerful Apple and Microsoft computers that are equipped with software for creating music, video, graphics, photos, animations, websites, and other digital art creations. These computer stations are located in the Digital Arts Lab at the John Steinbeck Library, Cesar Chavez Library, and El Gabilan Library and are available during open hours (please note the Digital Arts Labs may close 15 to 30 minutes before the library's closing time). Tutorials are available in the Salinas Public Library Academy.

Community support through Rally Salinas Fund and donations from The Irvine Foundation helped to fund the creation of the Digital Arts Lab at the John Steinbeck Library. The Digital Arts Station at the Cesar Chavez Library was made possible through the statewide Fast Internet Matters video contest.
The Digital Arts Lab is available to the public during the Library’s open hours. Computers are available on first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservation required. User must have a current Salinas Public Library card to checkout peripherals (keyboard and mouse) and use the computers.
