Does the library have computers?

All library locations offer computer workstations stations that have internet access and are equipped with Office productivity software for text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Using your library card number, you can use the computers up to 2 hours at John Steinbeck or 1 hour at Cesar Chavez and El Gabilan.

For visitors without a library card, there are Express computer workstations available at John Steinbeck and Cesar Chavez. Express computers are limited use for up to 15 minutes.

AWE Early Literacy Stations are available on first-come, first-served basis for the Library’s younger patrons. The AWE stations feature fun and interactive content in Math, Science and Nature, Social Studies, Reading, Art, Writing and Computer Skills.

Does the library have Wi-Fi?

All library locations offer free Wi-Fi to library visitors. You do not need a library to connect to the wireless network on your personal device. 

Can I print in the library?

The library provides public printers at all locations. Library cardholders are provided a daily free printing allowance of up to 5 pages. After the allowance, prints cost $0.10/b&w page.

There is no free printing allowance for non-cardholders using the Express computers.

Can I make photocopies in the library?

The Library provides photocopy machines at John Steinbeck and El Gabilan library. Library visitors can also use the Library Document Stations at John Steinbeck and Cesar Chavez, for photocopying purposes.

Photocopies are $0.10/b&w page.

Does the library have a microfilm machine?

The library provides a microfilm machine in the Digital Arts Lab at John Steinbeck. A Library card is not required to use the machine. However, a library card or photo ID is required to request access for the microfiche. Microfilm prints cost $0.10/ b&w page
