Homework Centers

The Salinas Public Library runs four afterschool homework centers. The purpose of the centers is to help children complete their homework on a regular basis, encourage a love for independent reading, and to offer enrichment opportunities.

The Cesar Chavez Homework Center is located in the Cesar Chavez Library located at 615 Williams Road. Children are required to register to attend this homework center and space is limited. Children who attend any school are able to come here for help with their homework. Supper is served daily to children who attend this center.

The Roosevelt Elementary Homework Center is located at 120 Capital Street. This center only serves children who attend Roosevelt Elementary School. Children are required to register for this program. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please inquire with his or her teacher. Supper is served daily to children who are enrolled in the homework center.

The Los Padres Elementary Homework Center is located at 1130 John Street. This center only serves children who attend Los Padres Elementary School. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please inquire with his or her teacher. Children are required to register for this program. Supper is served daily to children who are enrolled in the homework center.

The Sherwood Elementary Homework Center is located at 110 South Wood Street. This center only serves children who attend Sherwood Elementary School. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please inquire with his or her teacher.  Children are required to register for this program. Supper is served daily to children who are enrolled in the homework center.
