We are thrilled to partner with Artists Ink to offer a series of fun and exciting ART KITS. This fourth kit will give you supplies and prompts to create Stop Motion. 

Create a stop motion animation that depicts the vibrant and futuristic landscape of what you want Salinas to look like in the future. Explore your creativity by using newspaper clips, found objects, stock images, and videos, as well as resources available through the library to create your animation.

If you’re familiar with movies like Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas, or those groovy Lego shorts on YouTube, then you’re probably already familiar with stop motion. Stop Motion is an animation technique where you photograph static objects, moving them around in small increments while photographing each individual frame at a time. Then you put together all your pictures to create the illusion that your object is moving.
