Salinas Public Library offers full-service library cards for California residents of all ages. Complete and submit the application form below to get your library card.

If you don't have a library card and need to borrow print or media materials from the library, please complete the Library Card By Mail application to receive your library card by postal mail. This application is for new library cardholders, or to convert a digital library card to a full-service library card. Do not complete the application if you already have a Salinas Public Library card. If you need to renew or replace your current library card, please visit our library location during open hours.

If you only need access to the library's digital resources, please complete the Digital Library Card application. 

* Library Card by Mail must be verified by visiting library within 6 months of issuance. On your first visit to the library, please bring the library card issued via mail, a photo ID, and proof of residence with your current home address to the service desk to activate full-service library card privileges. Library Card by Mail should be received within 7-14 days. Once received, you may start using the card to access the library's online resources and request items for pick-up at the library.
