The John Steinbeck Library, located in the central part of Salinas, holds the major portion of the collection. Its collection strengths include Internet access, business items, large print books, Spanish language material, Steinbeck and local history material, vehicle repair manuals, career information, consumer information, California telephone directories, a Digital Arts Lab and Literacy Center.
