Tom Bailey and his service dogs, Misty Blue, Diamond, and Stormy Blue will be visiting the John Steinbeck Library. Join us and let your children practice their reading and storytelling skills to our four-legged friends. Also, join us on another of our scheduled dates, Friday August 6th or Friday August 13th.

6:00pm, Cesar Chavez Library Dr. Gerald Newark is coming to Salinas to answer questions and sign books. Dr. Newmark is the author of "How To Raise Emotionally Healthy Children." He writes about the five critical emotional needs of children. Come by any Salinas Public Library location to receive your FREE copy of this book. That's right, we are giving them away! Just ask us for a copy. We hope you can join us for this special author visit. |

Join us for a session of West African Rhythm Drumming with Abdoulaye Diallo at all three Salinas Public Library Branches. He will be visiting the El Gabilan Library at 11:00am, the Cesar Chavez Library at 1:00pm, and the John Steinbeck Library at 3:00pm.
