Author Visit - R.J. Adams

Tuesday, April 28
John Steinbeck Library

R.J. Adams, author of "The Field Guide to Spiders of California and the Pacific Coast States," will be visiting the John Steinbeck Library this month.

Over half of the world’s spider families live within the three adjoining Pacific Coast states - not surprising, considering the wide variety of habitats, from mountain meadows and desert dunes to redwood forests and massive urban centers. Mr. Adams’ field guide provides readers with tools for identifying many of the region’s spiders.

Join us, as Mr. Adams presents a fascinating lecture on the incredible diversity of the spider kingdom, with excerpts from his field guide, and illustrations that will never be forgotten.
